Have Comfort or Pressure Issues You wish to Eliminate?

Step 1:

Please send us any/all drawing or mechanical plans you have of the space. The more information about the HVAC the better.

Step 2:

Let's set up a time to meet on the space and discuss what is needed and we can visually get any information not covered by drawings or lack of drawings. Depending on the size and the scope of work we would need an hour or two of your time. We would also need access to the equipment itself either on the roof or in mechanical rooms. Let us know if we need any proof of insurance prior to our arrival and if we need any special ladders.

Step 3:

Call Brenda and get on the schedule for one of us to evaluate your needs. We may want to contact you directly if possible for this meeting so please give Brenda as much contact information as you can.

The only way to know is to test, and anything else is just a wild guess...

Barrington Heating and Air ServicesYour home or business heating and cooling system may not be delivering the comfort and efficiency you’re paying the utility company for. PerformanceMaxx™ reports provide a preliminary snapshot of your comfort system’s delivered performance.

What is a comfort system analysis?

Most service agreements only include checking the heating and cooling equipment. We have the technology and skills to include the duct system in your service agreement. New testing procedures measure your system’s operating performance. We’ll test the duct system as part of our service and will diagnose and repair system deficiencies.

What will these tests tell us?

PerformanceMaxx™ reports offer a rating of your HVAC’s level of performance. These reports have been created as an air conditioning and heating educational tool for customers of NCI contractors.

We’ll conduct tests to determine the airflow through your system, and verify the resistance through your air filters, coil, ductwork, and registers. This information will help us calculate the delivered BTUs from your system and gauge where your system needs improvement.

My system is brand new. Why do I need an analysis?

Unfortunately, systems are sometimes installed incorrectly or are the wrong model for the size of the home or business. Unlike a self-contained stove or refrigerator, your HVAC depends on a series of ducts and registers winding through your space. PerformanceMaxx™ rates the live operating efficiency of the entire installed system.

We’ll test to make sure your system was installed and is running correctly for optimal performance and energy savings.

FAQs

QUESTION: What is my obligation if I agree to have the PerformanceMaxx™ test done?

ANSWER: There is no obligation. These tests are done as part of our service program and so that we can better understand your total comfort system.

QUESTION: Does the test disrupt my equipment?

ANSWER: No. We perform the test while your system is running under normal operating conditions. We will drill a few harmless test holes in your duct system to take readings, but we’ll plug them when we are finished.

QUESTION: Can any contractor perform a PerformanceMaxx™ procedure?

ANSWER: No. Only NCI certified contractors are authorized to use the PerformanceMaxx™ test procedures.

QUESTION: What is the cost of the testing?

ANSWER: There’s no additional cost for the PerformanceMaxx™ testing during maintenance in homes. It’s part of our normal service. After the initial testing, we’ll present you with a report on the system’s efficiency. If there are deficiencies, we can perform more in-depth testing and analysis for a complete picture of what needs to be done to maximize your system’s performance.
